Description
Singers are Actors Too
Acting requires the use of the body, face, inflection, speaking voice and adoption of character/personality traits to convincingly play the part. When an actor is not convincing in their role, audiences lose interest.
A singer is an actor that utilizes the singing voice in addition to other skills. Every musical phrase tells a story, which is also affected or shared through body language, facial expression, diction and vocal dynamics. Become the person who really believes in the words and feels the emotions related to the actions, or LOOKS like they do, and the audience will be on your side.
This lesson breaks down these components into simple sections you can practice to increase your stage power!
